Individual Therapy

Much of my work centers on relationships, and even in individual therapy, that's often where the real material lives. Many of the people I see are thoughtful, capable adults who find themselves stuck in relational patterns they can't quite explain, whether that's recurring conflicts, emotional distance, difficulty trusting or being close, or a sense that the same dynamics keep repeating across different relationships.

Therapy is a place to slow down and look at what's underneath those patterns, not just managing the surface but understanding what's driving them. That understanding is what makes real change possible, in your relationships and in how you relate to yourself.

My approach is collaborative and grounded in attachment theory, the same relational, emotion-focused framework that anchors my couples work. In simple terms, attachment theory looks at how our early and current relationships shape the way we connect, trust, and cope. That training gives me a particular fluency with the relational dynamics that shape so much of our lives, even when you come to therapy on your own. I work to understand what's specific to you, and I'm direct about what I'm seeing and thinking.

I work with adults navigating

  • Relationship and marital difficulties
  • Breakups and divorce
  • Family conflict
  • Patterns that repeat across relationships
  • Parenting challenges
  • Work stress and career transitions
  • Major life transitions
  • Identity and self-understanding
  • General mental health

I offer a free 15-minute video or phone consultation, which is a low-pressure way to talk through what's going on and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
